I can find instructions for the L series but none for the s series i was wondering if anyone could help me with this?

You need to pretty much remove the dash and the ducting.
Typically, if the vehicle has A/C, this has to be disconnected and by law, a retrieval system is to be used to capture the refrigerant pripr to cracking open the system so it doesn’t escape into the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, besides the high hour heater core R & R, you need to be a certified A/C tech, a keeper of 1/4 inch sockets, extensions in various lengths, as well as a contortionist with the patience of Job, to properly and legally do most of these repairs with todays vehicle design.
The coolant needs to be drained, the hoses to the core may be quick release type needing a seperator tool,
The A/C will then need to be recharged and seals replaced as well to ensure there are no leaks post-Op.
This is one of the most uncomfortable and irritating repairs.

Hey everyone I just wanted to know what I need to install new subwoofers in my 1999 SL2 and how to install everything. I have 4ohm 12″ Kicker subs and I know I need an amp but should I get a box as well? And what kind of converters, harnesses, etc do I need? Anything else I should know? If there’s some kind of online walkthrough to installation as well that’d be sweet.

you will need to get a wiring kit if you dont already have one. you will need the power cable connected to the battery and the power slot on the amp. then you will need to connect it to a suitable earthing point. you will need to make sure you have a headunit that has the red and white connectors on the back. you will need a lead think its called an rcd lead that connects to the back of your stereo and into the amp. you will need to find out which wire is your remote wire at the back of your head unit and that also will need to be fitted to the amp, the remote cable you get in wiring kit is normally purple. test that you have power by turning on your car. next you will need to wire the sub to the amp. there is normally a slot on the amp for this. hope this helps.

Question by Alex B: Which model of Saturn do I need parts for?
I own a 2002 Saturn L200–however it has a newer Saturn Ion engine in it. I want to optimize my car for performance without sacrificing too much of my good gas mileage. I’m wondering which model’s parts I should purchase. I.E. fuel injection systems, air filters, etc. Should they be L200 style or Ion style? Thanks!

if you are replacing parts on the engine you will need parts for the ion engine.if you used the ion air cleaner get one for it hope you kept up with all the parts to do this engine swap so that when it breaks you can get the right parts

Can I simply run the engine with the rad drain open and pour fresh water in the reservoir until it runs clear? Will this effectively flush the system without the kit and hose that is explained in many areas?
I ask because the 97 saturn doesn’t have a rad cap, just the reservoir cap. Also it only has a rad drain, so my explanation just felt like the water would clean out all parts seeing as the system only has one true in and one true out.

Question by familyguy: how much to replace tensioner pulley on 1999 saturn?
battery light comes on and the serpatine belt wont run when car is turned on, does belt need to be replaced or tensioner pulley or both? Was making a real high squealing noise for a couple of days before this happened. Dont think the belt is broken because it will turn run every couple of times I try to start….ideas?

take your belt off and try to spin each pulley by hand it sounds like you may have one that locked up. to check your tensioner spin the pulley and that checks the pulley, then make sure your tensioner springs all the way back opposite the way you moved it to remove the belt. then try to see if it has any slack in it by pushing and pulling on it sometimes the spring in them will start to come apart and you can wiggle it like a loose tooth.

Saturn is as far from the moon as it is from Earth (the moon orbits the Earth), and that varies depending on where Earth and Saturn are in their orbits around the sun.
Saturn can be as far as 10.12 AU from the sun, and as close as 9.05 AU from the sun (the Earth averages 1 AU from the sun).
So at its farthest, Saturn can be as much as 11.12 AU from Earth and as close as 8.05 AU from Earth.
